We only use the best in class sub-contractors approved by you. We can offer a pre-production build to ensure a process under control, signed off and approved by you.
Regular Process Review Meetings managed by Colmworth to ensure repeatability and continuity with the sub-contractor, held on their premises.
We can deal with prototype build packages and batch sizes of ONE should this be your requirement. We would then work as a focus group to manage the production build as demand increased to control quality, delivery and cost.
Why Kit?
The procurement of components can be expensive and time consuming involving numerous telephone calls, reams of paperwork and hours of stores and stock management.
A typical Bill of Materials will contain a variety of semiconductors, connectors, passive and electromechanical components, as well as hardware. Dependant on the specifications of the design, this involves buying from a range of different sources.
Kitting enables the placing of a single line order for an entire Bill of Materials, receiving a shipment that is 100% qualified and ready to be issued to the production line.
Single line ordering by Kit reduces transaction costs by minimising purchasing and expediting activities. Substantial savings are made by reducing costly and time consuming goods inwards inspections and pre-kitting prior to production.
Buying a complete kit of components provides customer order book flexibility, as well as giving all the advantages of reduced overheads and labour intensive activities; creating valuable time for other key business matters.
